Thaw Thaw practises in the areas of commercial litigation, financial services regulation and investigations.

Over her 20 years of practice, Thaw Thaw has acted for clients in a wide range of industries including automotive, financial services, hospitality, mining and professional services. Prior to joining Bennett, Thaw Thaw worked at the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) where she gained experience in regulatory investigations, advised on financial services laws and managed enforcement actions against financial services providers.

Thaw Thaw regularly represents businesses, company directors and Australian Financial Services Licencees in dealings with ASIC and other regulators. As an experienced litigator, Thaw Thaw also advises directors, business owners, private companies and other professional services firms on complex commercial disputes. She has conducted litigation in the Supreme Courts of Western Australia, New South Wales and Victoria as well as the Federal Court of Australia.

Thaw Thaw has a Master of Laws (Corporate & Commercial Law) from the University of New South Wales and a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws from the University of Western Australia. Thaw Thaw is also one of the firm’s Pro Bono principals.
